Nestled in the mist-kissed hills of Pir Sohawa, Rustic Family Retreat was born from a simple dream: to create a sanctuary where Islamabad's families reconnect over ancestral Pakistani flavors and nature's grandeur. Since 2020, we've honored culinary traditions passed through generations - slow-cooking karahis in copper pots, charcoal-grilling seekh kababs over open flames, and perfecting the crispness of our legendary Chapli Kababs.
Every stone in our timber-and-granite structure was laid to frame Margalla Hills' panoramic vistas, while open terraces invite valley breezes scented with wild juniper and pine. Here, amidst whispering forests and starlit skies, we craft more than meals – we curate moments where laughter echoes across mountains and shared platters become cherished memories.
True hospitality is measured by the warmth left in guests' hearts long after they descend the mountain.
Opened in Pir Sohawa, we started with charcoal grills and copper pots. Our Chapli Kababs quickly became legendary, served with Margalla Hills views that still take breaths away today. Simplicity with soul.
Added Islamabad's first open tandoor terrace. Partnered with local farmers for mountain-fresh ingredients. Moonlight dining debuted, turning meals into starlit rituals under the pines.
Hosted first 100-guest wedding. Live BBQ stations and saffron pulao became signature. Breakfast overlooking Margallas turned into weekend tradition for families.
Named "Islamabad's Crispiest Chapli Kabab" by Dawn Eatery. Served 7500+ mountain views. Introduced wild-berry kheer foraged from hills and lavish breakfast platters.
Renovated with cedar decks and copper lanterns. Launched private pine gazebos. Chef's Farm Table series let guests taste-test karahis straight from skillet.
